Ararat Farm Newsletter July 2022

Happy July Everyone,

What a hot and humid month it has been! We hope you all had a great 4th and are enjoying the summer thus far. The farm is still chugging away with daily chores and the summer bushhogging. It’s been much more difficult to get a lot accomplished in the heat. Work needs to be done but we are also trying to be wise with time of day too. Lets get into a quick update for this month now.

Summary for the month of July:

  • Big blessings

  • Nothing like Nursing…

  • Big Piggies!

  • Little Farm Hand’s lately

The Herd

There are so many blessings. The Herd is doing pretty well. They are grazing very quickly through their paddocks and keeping us on our toes. There are so many blessings to have salad bar grazing as well as a full barn of hay. We are so thankful for the Lord’s providence.

Nothing like a baby Nursing…

All babies are so special and adorable. Whether they have 2 legs or 4 they are a gift. It’s so much fun to watch a calf nurse and the mama sit there content to feed it.

The Pigs

The piggies are doing well. They have wallowed out a hole that has held water for them to play in on the hot days. The big piggies are definitely much bigger for their one bad day.

Little Farm Hand

Little Farm Hand is getting so big. She is becoming more and more helpful with chores. Her favorite critter to help with are still the piggies and horses but she is excited about all the animals.

That’s a Wrap

Well that should bring you all up to date on all the latest things. A lot of normal chores and activities just very hot. We hope you have a wonderful rest of your day and we will see you next month.
