November 2025

Hello Everyone and happy early Thanksgiving! We hope you all will have a wonderful time visiting with friends and family and that it will be a blessed time reflecting on the blessing the Lord has given over this year. We have been blessed with lots of challenges this year that has reminded us that this farm is the Lords and we are called to steward it for His glory! He has blessed us with fat cattle and very fat pigs by the end of this year. The still have some legal baggage that is carrying into the new year but the Lord is faithful to direct our steps and provide the people and tools needed. This post we will try to keep brief due to the holiday.

Summary for November:

  • Fluffy Cattle in Seasonal Weather

  • Content Bison

  • FAT PIGGIES!

  • First Beautiful Snow!

  • Hunting Season Started Out Right

The Herd

The herd is continuing on grazing through the bottoms and also having hay. They are so fluffy now with their winter coats which has been well used when we had a few days in low 20s!

The Bison

The bison have been good girls over the last several weeks. They have not escaped their paddocks and even though their are days that they have been pretty frisky and chase the cows around, they have still respected the fences so long as they are hot and high enough.

THE Pigs

This is the last few weeks with the pigs till their one bad day. They have (and still are) enjoyed a very happy and lazy summer of food, ponds, treats and this season’s acorn crop. They are huge piggies and very happy!

Beautiful Snow

We had our first snow of the season this month and it was beautiful! It was very cold and it blanketed the whole farm in a picturesque painting!

Hunting Season Has Begun

Hunting season has begun and it has already started out profitable! We are looking forward to what deer the Lord has waiting for us for the rest of season!

Happy Thanksgiving!

As we wrap up this post we hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and we look forward to closing out this year with you next month!
