Hello Everyone! What a crazy spring season we have had going from 20 degrees to 70 and 80 some days. It has made for some weird days of chores, with and inch and a half of snow and in 4 days 70 degrees and dry! With the warm days the grass is growing very nicely. Now let's get to the rest of the update
Summary for March:
- New Calves
- Happy Piggies
- We Finally have eggs
- Gate Entrance work

The Herd
The cows are still grazing on hay and definitely getting very board with it. They long for the fresh grass and and daily rotations. We did have some darling calves this month. They are healthy frisky as they jump and run after their mama's. This brand new stage is the cutest stage with the big ears.

The Piggies
The piggies are enjoying their lazy eating sleeping and rooting in the deep mulch bed. They are getting so big so fast and eating us out of house and home! Hopefully this means they will be big piggies for the Summer Pork!

We Have Eggs
We are so thrilled to finally have eggs. It has been a long winter of waiting for the layers to start laying but we have them now. Boy to we have eggs now. We are working on freezing what we don't sell currently. The chickens are very happy with the warmer days to because it brings out the bugs for them.

Gate Entrance Work
Through the spring there is a lot of prep work we try to do to maintain the function of the farm. Road work is a pretty important and also still finalizing things with the corral. After the weather we have had with rains and snow the roads need maintenance so they are passable.

That's All Folks
That pretty much wraps up the month of March. Still not a super busy month as it is still the prepping season but there is always something that keeps us busy and always trying to make plans. We thank you for taking the time to visit with us today and we look forward to seeing you next time! Have a wonderful rest of your day!
