Hey Everyone! It's hard to believe that we are almost through June already! This month has felt like it snuck right by. It has been a pretty normal month with just normal chores of moving cows and checking pigs. With local fire season done and western fire season slow Matt has been home and able to get several maintenance farm things done. We have also greatly appreciated some rain this month especially with this summer predictions of drought!
Summary of June:
- The start of Summer Grazing
- New Calves
- Spoiled Piggies
- Chickens 1 bad day
- Lots of Kittens
The Herd
This month the cows slowly worked their way up the ridge on summer grazing. Most of the fields grew really fast this spring and was very stemy. The goal was to graze but try and get good trampling. We had to be careful how we grazed to make sure we didn't stunt the grass with the little rain we are getting. They herd has continued to look good this month!

New Calves
We did have 2 new calves this month and they have been so fun to watch run and play! One of them like to race anyone and anything that moves!
The Pigs
The piggies have been so spoiled with getting lots of scraps lately! The funny thing is they don't really eat much they just roll and play in them more then eat. They are on their last few weeks before their one bad day and are living a great life!
The Chickens
The chickens one bad day went very smoothly and swiftly. The birds all dressed very well and have made perfect sizes for cuts. We are very excited to have this product back in stock! Check out our shop and see what all we have available!

So Many Kittens
So we had 3 mama cats have kittens and have ended up with 11 kittens between all 3 mamas! Little Farm Hand is so happy to have so many little fur-balls to play with. They are pretty cute.
That's All Folks
Well that give a brief update on this month's business! It has been a rather calm month which is always a blessing! We look forward to next month's update and thank you for taking the time to visit with us today! Have a wonderful rest of your day.
