December 2025

Merry Christmas Everyone! We are just days away from the celebration of the greatest miracle and gift the Lord has given. His mercies are never ending and blessings have continued to be overflowing even when the days are hard. It has been a very seasonally cold December until the end. We have had dusting of snow here and their and cold rains making for some muddy work days. It’s been a pretty normal month on the farm. Rotational grazing with hay supplement on those extra cold days. Wrapping up hunting season. The piggies last days and of course those farm repairs that are never ending!

Summery for December:

  • Cows still grazing

  • Piggies One bad day…

  • The repairs we hate the most

  • The biggest Little Farm Hand!

The Herd

The days have been cold and wet or frozen hard but we are still rotating the cows are winter grazing. They are getting hay on the really cold days in addition to give them and extra boost. They are fluffy things out in the field.

The Pigs

The piggies had their one bad day this month but they have had the best life a pig could ask for this year. The big pigs enjoyed the foraging of a life time as well as lots of muddy days from the rains we had this summer. The pigness of the pig was in full swing with these gals!

The Repairs We Hate the Most…

There really isn’t a repair we love to do on the farm but waterline repairs are probably the ones we detest the most. This particular section of waterline has been repaired 3 times in a matter of a month. You have to take the good and the rough days.

The Biggest Little Farm Hand

Our Little Farm Hand has just continued to excel this year. As we come to the end of 2025 it is such a blessing to see how she has grown and become apart of the work that is required on the farm. She makes it her own in her own special way!

End of the Year

As we wrap up 2025 we want to say thank you to all of you who spent the time to visit with us and stay informed through the blog and emails. It means so much to know you are invested. Without you all Ararat Farm would not be able to continue. Having your support is what makes the farm keep moving forward. We thank the Lord for all the challenges He gave us this year to learn from and pray for humble and willing hearts to trust Him and His plan for 2026! Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
