Hello Everyone! We hope you all have had a great summer. It's crazy that summer is slowing down and fall is not too far off. We are in the middle of busy grazing season. We have had so much rain this summer that has helped the grass just explode that we can't keep up with it! The pigs have really enjoyed the rain that has provided nice ponds for them to play in. This will be a brief update with Fall Beef orders opening.

The Herd
The cows are grazing through the salad bar of bottom fields. They are trampling fields to stimulate the microbes as well as getting nice and fat with all the waist high fields. It has been hot but they are doing well with staying in the shade and drinking lots of water.
The Pigs
The piggies are enjoying their normal plan every day life...sleep, eat, roll over, sleep, eat again. They are thoroughly enjoying the canning season as they get all the tomato and cucumber scraps.
School Days
There are some days that school has to go on the road when we have to get broken equipment repaired. When things break we do what we can to fix them quickly and sometimes we have our 4 legged buddies come along. Always adventures!
Happy Layers
We don't normally do updates on the layers but they have been so pretty on the dewy mornings and have supplied so many eggs to our markets we thought they needed some recognition this month. They also have enjoyed the canning scraps too this season.
